If you keep it open at one side, change it to a third party theme (like Numix or Greybird from git or even adwaita) and then change it back to Ambiance, it will appear properly. Sreenshot: http://i.imgur.com/AKaYYm1.png . But It does not work if we switch between Ambiance, Radiance.
