Guys I have the same problem.Main reason is crappy Connexant Sound Chip. After 2 year suddenly happend to me. THIS IS A HARDWARE ISSUE NOT OS. Due to the SOUND CHIP OVERHEATING SOUND CHIP GOES TO STATE OFF(But headphone work well) when over heating occurs.. SOLUTION ---------------- 1. Change Motherboard (Toshiba Suppport Center tell me that:ISSUE IS FROM Connexant SoundChip, they cant change it so MOTHERBOARD HAVE TO) 2.PLACE A NICE COPPER PLATE OVER connexant chip.( I do, sound work well for more then 2 hours . I wish I have ı bigger ccupper plate :) 3.BUY I GOOD COOLER for a laptop.Place it near to the SOUND CHIP. 4.BUY A BLUETOOTH SPEAKER. 4.STOP ALSA.,WAIT FOR A WHILE TILL CHIP COOLS THEN START AGAIN. Trust me there is no other way. I tried every think. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1414440 Title: [SATELLITE L750, Conexant CX20585, Speaker, Internal] speaker fails after a while; headphone jack still working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1414440/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
