this is pretty unhelpful since i just did a VIRGIN install of ubuntu all i did was say "yes" to loading third party applications during the install. Otherwise no sound recordrr net video players etc are installed.
But it is a virgin install and codeblocks is the FIRST application i tried to install. I still got this problem.
