Public bug reported:

About 1s after starting a new song, rhythmbox uses 100% CPU (single
core) and the UI freezes. Music continues to play fine. Thaws our after
about one minute and interactions with GUI work fine until a new file is
selected or starts automatically. Keyboard audio keys don't do anything
during the freeze.

This behaviour started out of the blue. Only suspect package that
updated before it started is libaudiofile1, but I backdated that and the
problem still occurred.

Tried an strace but the machine froze. ltrace showed nothing obvious (to
a non-linux dev like me anyway).

Playing files with Totem did not show this issue. Neither did SMPlayer

Ubuntu 14.04
Rhythmbox 3.0.2
amd64 binaries
Tested with MP3 files only
