We use static network settings, and after installation the 70
-persistent-net.rules has seven lines like this:

SUBSYSTEM=="net", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTRS{address}=="", NAME="eth0"

and no line with a MAC-address. The computer only has one interface. If
I remove those lines, the network is brought up on boot.

** Changed in: udev (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Confirmed
