But not the database access credentials?  When I run "dpkg-reconfigure
mythweb" I only get asked about making mythweb password protected.

Ahhh.  Well this is what would be messing up my database connection
items every time then.

Can you put *DEBCONF* "wrappers" (i.e. a warning about modifying) around
the sections you'd like to operate on?
