@Christopher
I just updated to the F25 version BIOS, reverted back to the initial GRUB
config (with GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash") and booted two times:
no improvement, the bug is still here (no sound).

Reconfiguring GRUB to use the sound card in legacy (HDA) mode (with
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi_backlight=vendor
acpi_osi='!Windows 2013' acpi_osi='!Windows 2012'") still works.

Same as the others, the command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo
dmidecode -s bios-release-date
Returns: /dev/mem: Operation not permitted

Installing libsmbios and using the command: sudo getSystemId
Returns:
Libsmbios version:      2.2.28
Product Name: HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13
Vendor:                 Hewlett-Packard
BIOS Version:           F.25
System ID: Could not determine System ID.
