@Christopher I just updated to the F25 version BIOS, reverted back to the initial GRUB config (with GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash") and booted two times: no improvement, the bug is still here (no sound).
Reconfiguring GRUB to use the sound card in legacy (HDA) mode (with GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi_backlight=vendor acpi_osi='!Windows 2013' acpi_osi='!Windows 2012'") still works. Same as the others, the command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date Returns: /dev/mem: Operation not permitted Installing libsmbios and using the command: sudo getSystemId Returns: Libsmbios version: 2.2.28 Product Name: HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13 Vendor: Hewlett-Packard BIOS Version: F.25 System ID: Could not determine System ID. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1441852 Title: [HP Spectre x360 - 13-4010ca] Audio broken, broadwell-U audio controller To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1441852/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
