Hi Pedro, I use an nvidia 128mb videocard. I too have no logical explanation why this could happen. I also don't use any desktop effects. I also reinstalled my Ubuntu Feisty version 7.04. But the same happend after i changed my wallpaper.
I will continue to play around. And hopefully i will find some kind of reason why this happens.
