Public bug reported:

After giving the command `sudo mount -t cifs -o
credentials=/path/to/inexisting/dir,uid=1000,gid=1000,rw
//1.2.3.4/share_name/mnt/share_name` the user is asked to enter the
password with the `Password for root@//1.2.3.4/share_name:` prompt.
After pressing <kbd>Ctrl</kbd>+<kbd>C</kbd> it's no longer possible to
make input in `gnome-terminal`.
