Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
When attempting to either load gdm, or run startx from the command prompt, X fails to start. I first noticed this problem a week ago, after installing updates, and at the time thought something else was broken. After a fresh install this morning, and downloading all updates, I still get the same failure. This is on a Mac Mini G4, 1.42Ghz, with a Radeon 9200, 32MB video ram, running kernel 2.6.22-12.39 for powerpc, non-smp. Below, I have attached my xorg.conf, the contents of /proc/fb, a copy of the X log file from /var/log, generated by using the startx command, and the relevant section of info from running lspci -vv, and a list of currently loaded modules. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Failure to start X on PowerPC Mac Mini G4, ATI Radeon 9200. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144666 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
