Public bug reported: I have Ubuntu 14.04 and my Monitor also supports lower resolution like 640x480 and 720x400. I am able to see this supported resolutions using xrandr command Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1920 x 1080, maximum 32767 x 32767 VGA1 connected primary 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 527mm x 297mm 1920x1080 60.0*+ 1600x900 60.0 + 1280x1024 75.0 60.0 1152x864 75.0 1024x768 75.1 60.0 800x600 75.0 60.3 640x480 75.0 60.0 720x400 70.1
But the minimum resolution visible in the UI of Display settings is 800x600 and i could not see the lower resolutions by default. The lower resolutions become available in the list only if i set the desired minimum resolution using xrandr command. Why is the Display not able to read the edid and show up all the resolutions of xrandr in the list? ** Affects: fglrx-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1495819 Title: Lower resolutions are not getting listed in list under Display settings To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/1495819/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
