Acer has confirmed me that they have hardware issues with Acer V3-371 's touchpad mouse.
I contacted Acer's support here in Finland and immediately after describing the problem on the phone I received a RMA number to send the device for repairs. Acer repaired the device and returned it to me. The repair note said that grounding of the touchpad mouse had been fixed. Unfortunately the problem came back in about two weeks. Acer took the laptop back for repairs again. This time they changed entire touchpad to another one from another device manufacturer. The device is now working normally. Let's hope it keeps that way.
