You have the shim-signed package installed on your system, but you have the BIOS version of grub (grub-pc) installed instead of the UEFI version (grub-efi-amd64). On Ubuntu 12.04 it is not possible to enforce a compatible version of grub-install; you will need to either install grub-efi-amd64, or, if your system is actually a BIOS-based system rather than UEFI-based, remove shim-signed.
