Public bug reported:

Redshift was not included in the dependencies of the redshift plasma
widget, which is a packaging problem.

However, even when I installed redshift manually (sudo  apt install redshift - 
no errors reported, successful install) now on start I get the error message: 
redshift: no process found
/bin/sh: 1: redshift: not found
