Public bug reported:

I have 14.04 installed on my Dell Inspiron. I'm trying to clear the
Ubuntu installation, install Windows 1st & then reinstall Ubuntu. When
I boot off a windows7 usb, it tries to load the Windows files, starts up
with the Windows 7 logo & then blue-screens with error : "BIOS not fully
ACPI compliant" .

Any ideas?
