My desktop background is set up so that I have a .png file on top of a
gradient background. The colors of the gradient background are the same,
so that I have a solid color background.
On login, instead of showing the image on the background, it showed the
image fit to the screen with a black-and-white pattern behind it.
I'm running Xubuntu 14.04, with lightdm version 1.10.5-0ubuntu1.1 0.
