As I have informed earlier. I had already removed Mint and installed the
vivid version from the link you provided.
The current kernel is :
3.19.0-18-generic
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 15.04
Release: 15.04
Codename: vivid
Then I updated the BIOS as suggested.
After that I tried to install the latest upstream kernels by downloading
them from the link provided and using the below command:
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
Sorry, I'm not able to get you. I'm a newbie to Linux.
Please advice me which version of the kernel should I install ?
