I wont (can't) update virtualbox to cope with an unsupported configuration. If you want to play with newer kernels you can upgrade to vivid or use a virtualbox from a newer release (tool backbportpackage, where you can upload in your ppa a vbox backport) or build it from the Debian git with dpkg-buildpackage.
