I happened to me too. Trying to install the Gutsy image of 19-Sep-2007 and 21-Sep-2007. My system is a Macbook Pro Core Duo, ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 and I need to use the Atheros driver for wireless, but I think that I have the ipw4935 card.
But this is not the only problem that I had, I have been trying to install the OS several times, sometimes happens this, but also sometimes Ubiquity doesn't start at all, sometimes it hangs when trying to launch the partitioner, sometimes hangs when installing the system (at 27%). It seems that Ubiquity is not working well at all, it hangs randomly during the installation process at different moments.
