I think I just hit the same bug, please apologize if I am wrong: On an up to date Ubuntu 12.04, openafs-modules-dkms (1.6.1-1+ubuntu0.5) fails to build against linux-image-3.13.0-52-generic (3.13.0-52.86~precise1). You will find attached the build log.
It does however continue to build against previous kernel (3.5.0-54). Do not hesitate to ask if I you need more information.
