Public bug reported: I use a script that creates ePub files. These files pass all tests from epubcheck and can be read from calibre and fbreader without any problem. However Okular does not seem to be able to read them.
Starting okular on the command line shows debug output from libepub as shown in attachments. The point seems to be that libepub does not handle relative paths in the document structure description files (eg : OEBPS/elements/../chapters/1.xhtml - No such file) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: libepub0 0.2.1-2build1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-84.121-generic-pae 3.2.68 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-84-generic-pae i686 ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu17.8 Architecture: i386 Date: Tue May 19 08:17:41 2015 InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Release i386 (20120423) MarkForUpload: True ProcEnviron: SHELL=/bin/bash TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, user) LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8 LANGUAGE=fr_FR SourcePackage: ebook-tools UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: ebook-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 precise ** Attachment added: "Okular/libepub output" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1456468/+attachment/4400002/+files/okular-libepub.out -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1456468 Title: okular/libepub is unable to read valid epub files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ebook-tools/+bug/1456468/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
