> Have you removed your /etc/mysql directory? I have done that to try to fix another problem related to installing mysql-server-5.6 after having installed (and subsequently removed) mariadb 10.0. However, the removal of that directory was done after removing the mysql-server package, so I was expecting that installing the package again would re-create it. It seems to have done that as I can see that directory in my system, however this error is still present.
What are the consequences of manually removing this directory? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1431345 Title: package mysql-common 5.6.23-1~exp1~ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.6/+bug/1431345/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
