Also, could you try to get a backtrace? To get it, run in a terminal: LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/firefox gdb liferea-bin [...] (gdb) run
and then crash it. Liferea did receive segmentation fault. (gdb) bt and post here the output.
