@Mark It's the right one. The firmware is located in the intel folder it as the name IntcSST2.bin. But, even if you have it, the bug will prevent you to load it. You can look in your dmesg. The message will change from "no driver" to a message saying that you cannot load the driver because the id doesn't fit. Remember you wont have more sound... If this bug is like the one on the DELL XPS 13, you will have the right driver for a baddly loaded hardware from the BIOS. And the BIOS is from... guess who? HP. So yes, this will depend on the HP good will.
At the other who have the problem. So keep calling the service and signaling the bug. That will help the cause. At ubuntu debug team. I now really think this bug is not from you, I will just wait you confirm that it's not, and change it the won't fix. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1441852 Title: Audio broken on HP Spectre x360, broadwell-U audio controller To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1441852/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
