WHY the hell is this marked as fixed in all packages??

I have Ubuntu 14.04 and the issue is NOT fixed.
Every now and then, while getting automatic updates, something nvidia-related
crashes.
I don't know if it is when the kernel is updated, or what.

14.04 is LTS, which means that if it has been fixed for more recent
ubuntu versions, the fix MUST be backported, no matter how. Until then
this cannot be considered fixed.
