I never managed to figure out why my patch to libgksu worked, and what was causing libgksu to lose stderr. I am leery of introducing such a patch so late in the release cycle, especially given that our workaround is non-invasive and continues to work without issue (though please let me know if you've found otherwise).
I think it would be best to defer this.
