Shouldn't the icon be below that paper background then?

I feel like from the app designer point of view, if they use #fff in
both the "inputs" to Ubuntu Touch (X-Ubuntu-Splash-Color= and Icon=),
when Ubuntu Touch puts the two together, they should look the same.
Maybe they can be "papered over", but if so, both should be papered
over.
