I've just upgraded to Ubuntu 15.04 and first noticed that this problem has been resolved, but there are still some complications it seems.
When I ran Nautilus as root (using the command "gksu nautilus") I suddenly saw that the Unity Launcher background switched to the default background again. What's worse, when I tried getting rid of it by entering terminal command "nautilus -q", I saw that my desktop background changed to default one. ** Attachment added: "Screenshot" https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/1241757/+attachment/4384042/+files/Screenshot%20from%202015-04-25%2017%3A26%3A27.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1241757 Title: Unity Launcher always assumes default background is active for a couple of seconds To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/1241757/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
