That's great. If you could post a comment when you are happy with a version in the Gutsy repository, that would be helpful. Those of us who have a problem with the older version have uninstalled it (because it's the only way to turn it off), so we won't notice when the new version is out. If you post a comment here (or to another bug I'm subscribed to), I'll install it soon after and let you know how it went. I can give quite specific feedback on whether the specific technical points I've reported in other bugs are better.
