I just wanted to say that even though I have commented on this issue
before, I think it's crazy that this has yet to be fixed. It's nice to
see that Nvidia drivers 340's and higher got a fix for it, but on Ubuntu
14.04.2 & Ubuntu Gnome 14.04.2 & 14.10, using the default Nvidia 331
drivers provided by Ubuntu, this is still an issue. It just happend to
me again. Having to manually reinstall the Nvidia drivers after a kernel
update not only limits productivity, but it's also driving me crazy.

If it's not possible to update and implement the fix for the older 331.x
drivers, then please update the official Ubuntu repos with the newest
340.x + drivers.

Thank you.

Alex
