Yes I can ping the printer. If I do,

$ ping -c1 192.168.0.20

64 bytes from 192.168.0.20: icmp_seq=1 ttl=128 time=1.16 ms

--- 192.168.0.20 ping statistics ---
1 packets transmitted, 1 received, 0% packet loss, time 0ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 1.169/1.169/1.169/0.000 ms

then,

# hp-makeuri 192.168.0.20
...
 Creating URIs for '192.168.0.20':
 [ERROR]: Failed (error code=12). Please check address of device and try again.

the syslog says,

If I do,

# hp-probe

I looks like it's trying to find a parallel or USB printer (???).

People in my subnet using MAC OS X can print w/o problems.  I could
print as well a week ago. It seems the latest update produce this error.
