I experienced the same problem reported in this thread on an Asus N751JK, equipped with network controller: MEDIATEK Corp. MT7630e 802.11bgn Wireless Network Adapter.
Eventually, on kernel 3.16.0-33 I solved by following the procedure reported in #214, i.e. using the driver provided by tobias-bora at: https://github.com/tobiasBora/MT7630E_3.16 I'm not observing any high CPU load. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1220146 Title: Ralink Mediatek 14c3:7630 wi-fi card isn't supported out of the box To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hwe-next/+bug/1220146/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
