On fresh install of 15.04 using Firefox I chose to launch Google Chrome installer straight to Software Center, and got this error. If Instead I choose to have Firefox save it, and then I gnome-open the resulting deb file, it installs okay, although it does give a lot of warnings to stderr/out:
