Testing on a fully up-to-date (as of 2015-03-06) Vivid Vervet session
fails to reproduce this problem.
Please open a terminal (using eg. alt-f2 and typing x-terminal-emulator)
and enter the following command.
gsettings get org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.media-keys terminal
and paste the result into this bug report.
