*previous comment continued. Gesture recognition is done by the touchpad and not the driver, and it's not very good. I.e., it reports the gesture, not the finger positions, so we can't configure things like scroll threshold.
The way to improve this would be to somehow put it in 'absolute' mode, where it reports the actual finger positions.
