This really sounds like Bug #127101 . Maybe Mac hardware just reboots after freeze. Could you recheck if the screen looks similar like in this video http://launchpadlibrarian.net/8783569/SSA43053.AVI after crash ? If yes please mark this bug as a duplicate or at least report it here.
