I've noticed that http://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/firmware /linux-firmware.git/tree/ has a iwlwifi-7260-10.ucode & iwlwifi-7260-12.ucode which my (stock Ubuntu 14.04.2) didn't have in /lib/firmware, so I grabbed those, but (after sudo modprobe -r iwlwifi ; sudo modprobe iwlwifi 11n_disable=1 bt_coex_active=0; sudo killall wpa_supplicant) a 'dmesg | grep iwlwifi | grep firmware' still shows "firmware version 25.228.9.0 op_mode iwlmvm" - one probably needs a newer Kernel than 3.16 for those? (How/where can one see this?)
Also https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/users/drivers/iwlwifi says that http://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/iwlwifi/iwlwifi-fixes.git has "fixes for the current kernel release cycle" - do you know where in that repo? Or is that not really maintained, perhaps? Or does / can one "build" (?) the *.ucode from source, for a given Kernel 8say 3.16), somehow? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1427431 Title: WiFi issues on Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbo 2nd Gen with Intel AC 7260 (rev 83 / 0x144), high “mac retries” and Tx excessive retries:1765 Invalid misc:842.
