Yeah I just I updated and some time between these two apt-get upgrade's 2/21 and 3/01 Its gone sour with the most recenet one. After a reboot my compiz is consuming a lot of cpu time. I tried to launch steam & battle.net(and update playOnLinux) and without playing a game just updating those menu's were also degraded load average of ~5 or so for my intel i7 processor.
One thing I noticed is when I restarted compiz this is what I saw on the dmesg log [ 355.459869] nvidia 0000:01:00.0: irq 46 for MSI/MSI-X [ 355.472855] ACPI Warning: \_SB_.PCI0.PEG0.GFX0._DSM: Argument #4 type mismatch - Found [Buffer], ACPI requires [Package] (20131115/nsarguments-95) [ 355.472924] ACPI Warning: \_SB_.PCI0.PEG0.GFX0._DSM: Argument #4 type mismatch - Found [Buffer], ACPI requires [Package] (20131115/nsarguments-95) [ 355.472959] ACPI Warning: \_SB_.PCI0.PEG0.GFX0._DSM: Argument #4 type mismatch - Found [Buffer], ACPI requires [Package] (20131115/nsarguments-95) [ 355.472990] ACPI Warning: \_SB_.PCI0.PEG0.GFX0._DSM: Argument #4 type mismatch - Found [Buffer], ACPI requires [Package] (20131115/nsarguments-95) [ 355.473020] ACPI Warning: \_SB_.PCI0.PEG0.GFX0._DSM: Argument #4 type mismatch - Found [Buffer], ACPI requires [Package] (20131115/nsarguments-95) [ 355.473069] ACPI Warning: \_SB_.PCI0.PEG0.GFX0._DSM: Argument #4 type mismatch - Found [Buffer], ACPI requires [Package] (20131115/nsarguments-95) [ 355.473099] ACPI Warning: \_SB_.PCI0.PEG0.GFX0._DSM: Argument #4 type mismatch - Found [Buffer], ACPI requires [Package] (20131115/nsarguments-95) [ 355.473129] ACPI Warning: \_SB_.PCI0.PEG0.GFX0._DSM: Argument #4 type mismatch - Found [Buffer], ACPI requires [Package] (20131115/nsarguments-95) [ 355.473164] ACPI Warning: \_SB_.PCI0.PEG0.GFX0._DSM: Argument #4 type mismatch - Found [Buffer], ACPI requires [Package] (20131115/nsarguments-95) [ 355.473233] ACPI Warning: \_SB_.PCI0.PEG0.GFX0._DSM: Argument #4 type mismatch - Found [Buffer], ACPI requires [Package] (20131115/nsarguments-95) [ 355.495166] ACPI Warning: \_SB_.PCI0.PEG0.GFX0._DSM: Argument #4 type mismatch - Found [Buffer], ACPI requires [Package] (20131115/nsarguments-95) [ 357.094380] init: bumblebeed main process (5156) terminated with status 1 [ 357.094400] init: bumblebeed main process ended, respawning [ 357.105734] init: bumblebeed main process (5167) terminated with status 1 [ 357.105743] init: bumblebeed main process ended, respawning [ 357.121188] init: bumblebeed main process (5180) terminated with status 1 [ 357.121207] init: bumblebeed main process ended, respawning [ 357.136202] init: bumblebeed main process (5189) terminated with status 1 [ 357.136246] init: bumblebeed main process ended, respawning [ 357.152669] init: bumblebeed main process (5203) terminated with status 1 [ 357.152688] init: bumblebeed main process ended, respawning [ 357.167948] init: bumblebeed main process (5220) terminated with status 1 [ 357.167969] init: bumblebeed main process ended, respawning [ 357.183789] init: bumblebeed main process (5235) terminated with status 1 [ 357.183805] init: bumblebeed main process ended, respawning [ 357.192369] init: bumblebeed main process (5243) terminated with status 1 [ 357.192378] init: bumblebeed main process ended, respawning [ 357.199023] init: bumblebeed main process (5259) terminated with status 1 [ 357.199032] init: bumblebeed main process ended, respawning [ 357.208999] init: bumblebeed main process (5268) terminated with status 1 [ 357.209027] init: bumblebeed main process ended, respawning [ 357.223016] init: bumblebeed main process (5284) terminated with status 1 [ 357.223033] init: bumblebeed respawning too fast, stopped ** Also affects: bumblebee (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1383605 Title: \_SB_.PCI0.GFX0._DSM: Argument #4 type mismatch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi/+bug/1383605/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
