I had the same problem with KeePass 2.25 under Kubuntu 14.04: The fonts were huge and the menus unusable.
However the solution was contrary to the one suggested here: <ForceSystemFontUnix>false</ForceSystemFontUnix> Now the program works fine - only the Entry View pane uses a large font.
