Public bug reported: In testing Gutsy Tribe CD5, and trying to install dmraid, it spits out a new error message:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:$ sudo dpkg -i dmraid_1.0.0.rc13-2ubuntu4_i386.deb Selecting previously deselected package dmraid. (Reading database ... 92077 files and directories currently installed.) Unpacking dmraid (from dmraid_1.0.0.rc13-2ubuntu4_i386.deb) ... dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of dmraid: dmraid depends on libdevmapper1.02 (>= 2:1.02.02-2); however: Package libdevmapper1.02 is not installed. dpkg: error processing dmraid (--install): dependency problems - leaving unconfigured Errors were encountered while processing: dmraid I get this despite the fact that synaptic claims that libdevmapper is already installed. When I try to do the exact same thing from the Feisty Release DVD, it works no problem. If I try to install the latest dmraid package from the repository on Tribe5, it installs ok, but won't recognize my RAID array. The exact same RAID array recognizes without a problem from the Feisty Live DVD, (+dmraid installed) I hope I've posted in the right place! ** Affects: devmapper (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- dmraid installer complains: Package libdevmapper1.02 is not installed. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139736 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
