RELATED INFORMATION: - - The hard disk with "Promise Mass storage controller PDC20265" is correctly detected by Ubuntu 4.10, but not with every next release. It is also correctly detected by Knoppix 4.0.2 but not with the next releases (Knoppix 5.1.1 ,Knoppix 5.2).
