Public bug reported:

Using the Ubuntu PPA's "pypy", any C extension module can be compiled
(with setup.py) but fails to import. This is due to a bug upstream,
which only shows up in "--no-shared" builds (like this PPA's but unlike
the default upstream's):

any-c-extension

** Affects: pypy (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
