Ok I can confirm with vivid daily ppc alternate 20150205 installation is working again and things seem to be in order.
I seem to be missing that system overview information tool/ application, but I do not know if this possibly is an intentional change or incomplete state (with vivid?), I just mention it because it came in handy before in general which is why I notice it not being there now aside from that nothing crucial appears to be missing. Had to use *Linux **video**=TV-1:**d* as a nvidia 5200 pcix workaround, software rendering, on that particular G5 PowerMac but that is to be expected and not related to the manifest et al issues mentioned before.
