Public bug reported: rhythmbox can be pretty slow - creating playlists and changing songs. but this time it froze completely. I tried to kill the PID and it didn't work. tried also kill -9 as me and as root. no effect. X'ing the window in the GUI got rid of the window, but the process is still running. can't get rid of it.
