Correction.  After installing pommed 1.8 and doing sudo modprobe
applesmc in a terminal, the keyboard backlight can be adjusted with the
function keys. This can be automated by editing /etc/init.d/pommed and
adding "modprobe applesmc" to the "start" section to the script. NOTE:
the light sensors do not adjust the brightness, but for me, I'd rather
just adjust it myself anyway.
