Your printer queue should be configured to use the hp backend, but it
looks like the HP backend doesn't detect your printer.
Can you attach the output of the following commands:
$ ls -l /usr/lib/cups/backend*
$ /usr/lib/cups/backend/hp
** Changed in: hplip (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Incomplete
