Found the problem! Seems like a change of behaviour makes one of our settings behave differently than before:
1. Open about:config 2. Change dom.indexedDB.enabled to true (which is default, but in my case it was set to false) 3. Restart the browser This finally works. My open tabs from before are even restored!
