Public bug reported: On launching Gnome-based apps within a Lubuntu session I regularly received console errors like the following from even console apps...
** (apport-gtk:15078): WARNING **: Error retrieving accessibility bus address: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.a11y.Bus was not provided by any .service files I have found that adding the following line to /etc/profile ... export NO_AT_BRIDGE=1 ...suppresses the requests for the accessibility bus. This is a feature request to configure Lubuntu desktop to include this Environment variable through /etc/profile or equivalent. An equivalent functionality is allegedly possible through declarations within /etc/security/pam_env.conf although I haven't tested this. Another Lubuntu-specific location may be better but I'm not that familiar with Lubuntu/LXDE session configuration files. Note: I'm running Lubuntu with the Compiz window manager and gtk-window- decorator (I don't know if this is relevant, and kind of doubt it).
