*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 48732 *** Dear Vassilis,
I had fixed this problem also. I have an external IEEE1394 Hard disk box, the controller chip is prolific PL3507 with 80G Hitachi disk. The volume is a one piece NTFS, but with some errors. If I turn on the hd box before running installer, installer fail. However if I switch it off, installer could proceeding. Then I turn on hd box any time without fixing error, it still works as a USB plug icon on desktop.
