Affects me too in Ubuntu 14.04 with cpufreqd 2.4.2-2ubuntu1. Effect is that when AC power is restored, full performance mode is not endabled so this is a major drawback for laptop users who which to preserve energy when AC off and gain full performance when AC is on.
